Alienation and struggle are real. We have been separated from God and our fellow man because of sin. Socialism maintains that the problem is at its core a material problem; and that the solution is revolution. We already see this revolution erupting around us in the shaming of the rich and the “capitalist” class, the dividing up of people into groups, the pitting of one group against another, the call for redistribution of wealth, the desire to replace capitalism with a new society, the desperate protests…
All of these things are socialist attempts to solve very real problems.
But there’s a better way: true revolution.
Behind us there’s a voice – a clear, quiet voice – beckoning us to turn around.
When we turn around we see a Man. A Man with a fire of love burning in His eyes.
I have already ended the struggle.
I have already broken the curse.
I have already fought and won the Revolution!
It is finished.
He motions for us to take a step toward Him. He tells us we’ll be safe.
One step. One whispered prayer. One gaze into His eyes of love.
Do not be afraid.
He’s a Man, and He’s a King.
Come.
Come to Me. I want to give you rest.
I AM the True Source of All Life, Rest, Justice and Peace.
Cease striving.
Stop struggling against your fellow man. Stop trying in your own strength to break the curse.
All the armies of the world together can’t break the heavy chains of darkness, futility, hate and fear which enslave men, but I already have.
I left My throne in heaven and took on the body of a man so I could enter into your great struggle for freedom. So I could rescue you.
Because I love you.
I willingly laid down my life on the cross for you.
I suffered to free mankind forever from the dark curse of sin.
I bled to tear down every wall of alienation that separates people from people.
I died to wash away your sins and blast through the barrier that separates you from Me.
I was pierced to restore to mankind all that was lost: abundant life, true purpose, royal identity.
I rose from the dead by the power of God in Heaven to defeat once and for all the power of sin and death.
“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of [are made of] flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” Hebrews 2:14,15.
There’s only one thing left standing between you and Me: your unbelief.
I see your heart. I know how you long for justice, freedom and equality.
You can have them. They are free!
But they don’t originate in government. They’re not reached by regulation. They’re not won through the redistribution of wealth.
Their voice is not heard in the collective voice of the masses. They’re not attained through resistance. They’re not achieved by force.
They’re found in Me.
This Man…His name is Jesus. His name is Love.
He comforts the oppressed woman and clothes her with dignity.
He strengthens the weary laborer and infuses him with a purpose that transcends any job on earth.
He whispers to the children: I know your world is scary, I know there’s danger. I see the monsters, too. But I am a Lion. Hold onto my mane, snuggle into my fur. I will keep watch over you day and night. At the sound of My roar all the monsters in the world tremble and must flee.
To all who are mistreated, bullied, overlooked, persecuted or eyed with prejudice: I see you. I have collected all your tears in My bottle. I have recorded each one in My book. Vengeance is Mine and I will repay, says the Lord.
He is familiar with the burdens of the poor. “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’…Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:32a,33
He shouts to the courageous, to the warriors, to the brave: I know your passion. I know your drive. Come, join My army. Take up My weapons. Learn My truly revolutionary methods of war. Together we will change society from the inside out.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” Ephesians 6:12.
“I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you” Matthew 5:44.
“Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men” Matthew 4:19.
To the nations He says:
If you obey My voice, “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out” Deuteronomy 28:3-6.
If you do not obey My voice, “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.” Deuteronomy 28:16-19
And to all the inhabitants of the earth: I know there’s something terribly wrong with your earthly home. It’s dying. It’s growing old. It’s because of the curse! You can’t slow this death with regulations, you can’t stop it with all the money in the world. But you don’t need to be afraid.
“Lift up your eyes to the sky,
Then look to the earth beneath;
For the sky will vanish like smoke,
And the earth will wear out like a garment
And its inhabitants will die in like manner;
But My salvation will be forever,
And My righteousness will not wane” (Isaiah 51:6).
Behold, I am making all things new.
Come to me. Oh child, I know your name. I suffered for your freedom. Don’t turn it away.
Child of Mine – whom I love, whom I created – turn away from the empty promises of the world. Don’t place your trust in what will soon fade away.
Put your hope in Me.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil” John 3:16-19.“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” Romans 10:9.
